I keep my eyes wide open all the time, I keep a close watch on this heart of mine

Yes, it has happened again. My dad leaves for switzerland for work and all of a sudden, the house starts to fall apart again.

1) there was a bug in my mom's room. the big, crunchy kind. I had to kill it with a magazine and then hit it repeatedly with a wooden stick so that it would stay dead.

2) The internet broke. For 2 full days, I had no internet. I called my friend ben for help and he told me to unplug and replug the router. It worked, thankfully.

3) my mom gets sick. she thought she had strep. I doubted it. her throat still hurts.

4) Star Trek comes out, featuring my one true love (Zachary Quinto) and I have no daddy to drive me and my friends. Hopefully he'll be home next saturday to drive one way to the IMAX THEATER BC WE MIGHT SEE IT IN IMAX WOOOOOO!!!

blackout

last night was probably one of the weirdest nights of my life.
remember how i said that everything bad happens to our house when my dad isn't home? well that was proven right yet again when the POWER WENT OUT FOR A FUCKING THIRTEEN AND A HALF HOURS!!!
ok, so I went on a bike ride and it was really windy so i came home. Then at about 5:30pm, the power blows. so i grab a flashlight to go check on the fuse in the basement and its fine.
i calledlipa and they said they didnt really have an estimate on how long it would take to get the power back, but they thought maybe around 5 hours so i was like "ok i could survive that."
needless to say, it wasnt five hours.
i ended up lighting a fire in the fireplace and roasting marshmellows. then i practiced guitar.
at like 9:30, i went upstairs to practice because my mom had a headache and i used this flourescent battery light in my room.
Then i get this text from one of my guy friends asking me out.
it was one of those days where you feel like its not really your life, you know?

This morning, I picked out my clothes and did my make up by candlelight. 10 minutes before i'm about to leave the house, the electricity goes back on and me and my mom were like "HALLELUJAHHH!!!"
At the bus stop, I found out that it was every house on my block, not just be andmy neighbors.
At least that makes me feel better.

I'll post today's pix later

CHANGE

Maybe it will stop being so cold. Maybe that stupid show superstars of dance will end so i can have my heroes back. maybe candy will fall from the sky. maybe democracy will magically kick in in the middle east. maybe scrubs won't suck as much. maybe marc jacobs will decide that he wants to sell everything for under $20. maybe cars will fly. maybe the SAT's will be outlawed and colleges will pick you based on personality. maybe those cadbury creme chocolate eggs will start being sold in america (they are amazing...my dad brought me some home from england). maybe i'll finally get my first issue of NYLON.
all I know is that there is going to be change, and Obama's going to make it happen.

too bad about those two senators that collapsed. it IS very exciting having a new president and all, but jeez!

speaking of changes, MY DRYER IS FIXEDD!!! HAAAAALELUJAHH!!!!
after finally finishing homework, I spent all day doing laundry and happily drying my clothes.

shirt- urban outfitters, tank- 2cute, leggings- law, boots- macys

same outfit, but... coat- guess, scarf- mom made it =]

When my children ask me, "Mommy, what were you doing when the first black president was innogurated?" I'll be forced to say, "I wasn't watching it, honey, I had a choir class!"
tooooo bad.
