YOUR SUMMER SOUNDTRACK

All of the Jonas Brothers made a 10-song playlist for Seventeen magazine and wrote the reasons why they chose each song. I'm jealous, so I'm gonna do the same.

1. "Mass Romantic"- The New Pornographers
This is a really fun, dance-y song and its really catchy. I also love the guitar chords in the background.

2. "Good Girls Go Bad"- Cobra Starship ft. Leighton Meester.
Again, another good song to dance to. It's fun to blast.

3. "U Can't Touch This" - MC Hammer
Need I even explain? This song is a classic!

4. "Jai Ho (You are my Destiny)"- Pussycat Dolls
This song gets stuck in your head. ALLLLLL day.

5. "Halo"- Beyonce
I feel so weird putting all these pop songs on a playlist, but this song just has this beautiful sadness about it. Idk why. It's supposed to be happy but it makes me tear up.

6. "I need a Hero"- Bonnie Tyler.
I do. Need a hero, that is.

7. "Mystery Lights" - Uh Huh Her
It's really pretty. The piano and everything- its very soothing and calming. Almost TOO soothing, to the point where there must be something lurking and you get nervous for what's behind the facade.
that was deep.  almost TOO deep.

8. "The Fear" - Lily Allen
I can really connect to the lyrics. Lily Allen does it again. Strumming my pain with her fingers, singing my life with her words, as the Fugees would have put it.
How far would I be willing to push myself? What are my moral limits?

9. "Cheated Hearts" - The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
This is just a really good song.

10. "Mathematics" - Little Boots
I'm never going to get over this one. The lyrics are ones I wish I could have thought up before she did, and the pulsing music in the background is just so cool- I wish I played the tenori-on!

I keep my eyes wide open all the time, I keep a close watch on this heart of mine

Yes, it has happened again. My dad leaves for switzerland for work and all of a sudden, the house starts to fall apart again.

1) there was a bug in my mom's room. the big, crunchy kind. I had to kill it with a magazine and then hit it repeatedly with a wooden stick so that it would stay dead.

2) The internet broke. For 2 full days, I had no internet. I called my friend ben for help and he told me to unplug and replug the router. It worked, thankfully.

3) my mom gets sick. she thought she had strep. I doubted it. her throat still hurts.

4) Star Trek comes out, featuring my one true love (Zachary Quinto) and I have no daddy to drive me and my friends. Hopefully he'll be home next saturday to drive one way to the IMAX THEATER BC WE MIGHT SEE IT IN IMAX WOOOOOO!!!

playing dress up

I decided to give a big middle finger to fashion today. When I picked out my outfit, after a second of looking at it I realized I was dressed in head-to-toe abercrombie. yes, abercrombie. Then I got a new dress-up idea: I'm going to dress like a 6th grader today!
So I took out my tiffany necklace and looked for my birkenstocks (I couldn't find them, so I ended up wearing flip flops) and if I had a coach bag (not the cute kind, the ugly kind with the fabric with the C's printed all over it) I would be wearing it too!
I didn't actually wear the uggs, but I thought it would be funny to try them on.
6th graders don't look like this though...

I've had "Love Story" by Taylor Swift stuck in my head for days. Help.

sunday's outfit. leggings- joyce leslie, shirt, vest, necklace & bag- h&m

Saturday's outfit- cardigan- AE, jeans- lucky

On saturday, I went to the mall and bought a shirt, VS undies, and a mothers day present. Then, me, my mom, and my sister went and got KFC (yummy) and went to borders and I started reading "Miles to Go", Miley Cyrus' autobiography. Its really interesting- I'm up to the part where she meets her first fans.

On sunday, we gave my mom the gift I bought (from me and carly)- an African spa set and candle from the body shop. Then we got lunch at applebees and went to see Earth (the movie). The actual movie was kind of boring, but it was all beautiful. Except for the elephant part where the land was dry and barren.

GOOD NEWS!!! I might be seeing Star Trek in IMAX!!!!!!!! hellllz yeah!!

here are some things that make me badass...

I ate this.

I tied this with my TONGUE!!

I look at the sun and I look in the mirror, I'm on the right track, yeah we're onto a winner!

I haven't blogged in a while. The only interesting things I've been doing lately are stalking ZQ (DVRing and watching every single interview he does for start trek), making videos, and doing homework.
I still have kind of a head cold, so I'm all congested and can barely hear because my head it clogged and can barely speak because my nose is clogged. that's ok- nobody noticed.
I picked up the guitar again today, and learned how to play "The Fear" by Lily Allen. Maybe I'll put up a video sometime soon.
I learned how to make a time lapse video, btw, so I did so.
G2G... Zack's gonna be on Jimmy Fallon in like 2 minutes!

and cant fall asleep till like 1:30)

this morning my throat was hurting and my nose was stuffed
so I laid in bed all day drinking tea and watching all the gossip girl episodes I missed
now I'm doing my french homework. then I have law homework
and that will be all

I feel really gross =[

follow me through corridors and factories - franz ferdinand

I'm absolutely obsessed with http://www.plasticskyline.com/shop.php right now!

my loneliness is killing me, I must confess I still believe, when I'm not with you I lose my mind... gimme a sign! - Britney Spears

OOPS. I FORGOT TO TURN THE PIX AROUND. OH WELL.

Uneventful day. after school, I went to red mango with Jac and Bri
(I recommend the regular with dark chocolate chips, bananas, and honey)

Then we got our nails done. I got "canteloupe".
I got the worst manicurist/massager ever though.
Next time, I'm requesting Yoori. She's my favorite!

After, we went back to her house and hung out
she has this big screen tv in her room with a DVR
I'm jealous

Later we went to Asia Grill for dinner
It was good, but mad fattening.

Then I came home, posted a million videos on peoples' walls on facebook
Went to my dad's airport and did some things I'm not proud of
(including climbing into a dumpster. I had my reasons!)
Then we got ice cream from carvel
Then I watched ghost whisperer
And now I'm here.

I saw this in the nail place and had to take a picture. =] he's even cute as a vulcan!!

I don't know what's right and what's real anymore- Lily Allen

I had a sick outfit on today but my camera had to go and fucking break, so that's the end of that.
I had a good day today:
I went to school, blah blah blah.... I took a math test and think I did well, got a 93 on my chem quiz =], and took an impossible french test
after school I went to the gym and worked out
Then I took a shower
then I went on the computer and found out GREG BEEMAN WAS FUCKING FIRED OFF HEROES!!! WTH!!
then I went to conformation class (the jewish kind) and we had a stimulating conversation about gay marriage and universalism
then I came home and did my homework (all I had was french)
Now I'm on the computer again.

I really need to write my conf. essay. ugghhhhh fml!

I don't remember how it started and I don't know how to stop, but everytime I reach the bottom something pulls me right back to the top - Little Boots

This is my desktop background. I really hope that, although sylar has lost his memories and is trapped as "nathan" at the moment, we will still be seeing a lot of Zachary Quinto on heroes. Because I love him.

Monday, April 27, 2009

holy fuck. ohhhhh my god. no words.

oh my god. holy shit holy shit holy SHIT!!!
I can't even explain this episode of heroes in words.
maybe I'll do an interpretive dance?
An "omg sylar's trapped in nathan's memories in sylar's body which is shifted into nathan's because nathan was killed by sylar" dance.
or maybe not a dance at all.
maybe I'll just sit on my bed and ferociously post on 9th wonders.
yeah. that sounds about right.

out in the open

With as much creativity as you can muster, show your heart in:
1 picture
1 poem
1 song or piece of music
1 phrase or quote
1 item of clothing
1 place
1 Disney princess

For my picture, I chose Zachary Quinto. There's nothing more I can say besides the fact that he has my heart, and I don't think I've ever loved anyone else so much. Which kind of makes me sad.

For my poem, I choose Dr. Suess' "Oh, the places you'll go"

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.

You'll look up and down streets. Look 'em over with care.
About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there."
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you're too smart to go down any not-so-good street.

And you may not find any
you'll want to go down.
In that case, of course,
you'll head straight out of town.

It's opener there
in the wide open air.

Out there things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.

And when things start to happen,
don't worry. Don't stew.
Just go right along.
You'll start happening too.

OH!
THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!

You'll be on your way up!
You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.

You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

Except when you don' t
Because, sometimes, you won't.

I'm sorry to say so
but, sadly, it's true
and Hang-ups
can happen to you.

You can get all hung up
in a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on.
You'll be left in a Lurch.

You'll come down from the Lurch
with an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then,
that you'll be in a Slump.

And when you're in a Slump,
you're not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself
is not easily done.

You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both you elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?

And IF you go in, should you turn left or right...
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find,
for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.

You can get so confused
that you'll start in to race
down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place...

...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a sting of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.

NO!
That's not for you!

Somehow you'll escape
all that waiting and staying.
You'll find the bright places
where Boom Bands are playing.

With banner flip-flapping,
once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you're that kind of a guy!

Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. there are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You'll be famous as famous can be,
with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.

Except when they don't.
Because, sometimes, they won't.

I'm afraid that some times
you'll play lonely games too.
Games you can't win
'cause you'll play against you.

All Alone!
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
you'll be quite a lot.

And when you're alone, there's a very good chance
you'll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
that can scare you so much you won't want to go on.

But on you will go
though the weather be foul
On you will go
though your enemies prowl
On you will go
though the Hakken-Kraks howl
Onward up many
a frightening creek,
though your arms may get sore
and your sneakers may leak.

On and on you will hike
and I know you'll hike far
and face up to your problems
whatever they are.

You'll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You'll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life's
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3 / 4 percent guaranteed.)

KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!

So...
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Shea,
you're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!

I chose this poem (I know. It's a book. But its a poem too, so it counts!) because it really moves me. I don't know why, but whenever I think about the future, I get very choked up. What will I do? Where will I be? Will I be happy? Will I find real love?

For my song, I choose Unconditional by The Bravery. Everything this band sings really connects to my life, and when I fist listened to this song I was so surprised because it sounds like the things I think about on a normal basis. Have you ever heard the song Killing Me Softly by the Fugees? Its like that. In killing me softly, she goes to hear someone sing, and although the singer has never even met her, he sings about her life.

I chose this quote because I really believe in standing up for what's right, even if people hate me for it. A lot of people hate others for no reason, and that really bothers me, so I'll usually say something. Like celebrities, for example. When people hate celebrities, it obviously means they're jealous. They say things like "so-and-so thinks they're better than everyone else just because she's famous blah blah blah" and I'll say something like "How do YOU know what that person is thinking?" When somebody does something stupid, why put energy towards hating them. They didn't do anything to YOU personally!

Ok, I'm ranting now. I think it's time to get to the next one....

I chose Chanel t-strap heels for the shoes that represent me. Not only are they beautiful, but they're Chanel! They're plain, but also very alluring. When I first saw them, I couldn't put them down- even though they're "just" heels, something about them put a spell over me. That's really what I want my effect on other people to be.

For my place, I chose New York City. I live on long island, meaning I'm only a 45 minute train ride from the beautiful land of wonderment, but it's not good enough. I want to stroll the city for hours in high fashion, going thrifting and sneaking into the studio audience of talk shows. I want to go to parties late at night and fall asleep to the sound of traffic. I want to wake up in an apartment and look out the window, knowing that I live in the center of the universe.

I chose Ariel for my Disney Princess because I'm very much like her. Even though other people tell her she's fine, Ariel knows she could be so much more and do so much more, and she isn't content with the things she already has. All she wants to do is wander into the unknown and walk on two feet.

And I think all this is the most I've ever poured my heart out.

As I walked along i wondered what went wrong with our love, a love that was so strong - Del Shannon

Aujourd'hui, il fait TRES chaud. Here's what I did:
- cleaned
- cut up lots of strawberries, coated them in truvia, and refrigerated them
- went to a shiva
- washed the car
- ACTUALLY DROVE the car. Yeah, thats baddassery right there. driving at 15? It's called talent- THAT'S what it is!
- ate dinner (bbq... yum!)
- went to accapella rehearsal
- homework
- and now? Looking up music and computer-stalking the love of my life- Zachary Quinto. *sighs and goes into personal dream world*

everytime i try to break free something comes along to intervene - little boots

this is beautiful... I am extremely jealous of this girl!
